Chaidaze brighten up the Paddock Radio day playlist with their acoustic stylings and patchouli soaked beats. They’re another act I met up with one sunny Takaka afternoon.

From their info blurb:

“With roots from Thailand, Spain and UK, Chai and Daze blend together a unique mix of high vibration percussion and captivating, conscious vocals.
Chaidaze create an experience that will get you moving and thinking.
Their music is total self-expression, and jumps from genre to genre. From reggae, to folk, to flamenco; their performance takes you on a journey. From melodic and soulful to upbeat and grooving, Chaidaze certainly are original!

Our names are Arachai and Daisy (Thats where Chaidaze comes from). We met up north, in Paihia, about a year ago. We instantly had a connection, not just through music! Ever since then we have been living in a van traveling and sharing our Mahi around this beautiful country.  Daisy is a Yoga instructor and I am macrame jewellery artist. As well as playing music we organise retreats and workshops which combine our skills. We are real believers in creating the life you want to live, and sharing what you have to share!

Kind regards from Chaidaze! “
